A Place I Am Determined to Visit #002: Austria’s Green Lake

If you know me well enough, you should know that I’m scared of water. (I’ve almost drowned when I was young.) But, despite my fear of big sea of water, I am determined to visit here:

I know it doesn’t seem that special beside the fact that it’s green and pretty. Oh boy, what if I told you that I want to scuba dive in the lake? Sure, you might say, “Why would you scuba dive in a lake? Stupid!” Let me convince you how awesome it would be to scuba dive in Green Lake, located in Tragöß, Austria. (Yeah, I don’t even know how to pronounce that place but I still want to visit there!!) If you’re still not convinced after the pictures I show you, then that’s fine with me since only 80 people are allowed to scuba dive in the lake per day.

The left picture depicts how the park looks like during the fall and winter months. It’s nothing more than a beautiful scenic hiking place. Meanwhile, the right picture shows how the park gets partially immersed in water from the melted snow when the weather starts getting warm in the Spring. Here are more pictures:

Isn’t it amazing? This place just reminds me of the Atlantis. You can see the park benches and the hiking trails submerged under water. I don’t know about you, but it sounds like a pretty cool place to visit! I would definitely go when the level of water rises so that would be between June and July. But I also want to visit it when there’s low level of water because I heard it’s still amazing to hike here.
